Why Should Shops Avoid Being Located Near a Bus Terminal?

Shops are traditionally advised not to be located near a bus terminal, because the frequent sound of buses starting and departing can create ongoing noise disturbance. From a Feng Shui perspective, this situation is known as “Sound Sha” (Sheng Sha), as these sounds are believed to affect the operation of the business.

In addition to Sound Sha, being located near a bus terminal is traditionally considered to involve another Feng Shui concern. When buses start moving, they generate a certain magnetic field, causing the airflow along the road to circulate rapidly. These disturbances are believed to affect the mood and health of shop employees.

Traditional Remedy

Keep the shop’s windows closed to reduce the level of noise entering the premises. However, after closing the windows, it is advisable to use air conditioning; otherwise, air circulation may become inadequate.
