Why Should Shops Avoid Having Signs Directly Facing the Main Entrance?

In Feng Shui, road signs and other traffic-related signs can sometimes be considered to have an influence on a commercial property. If a streetlight pole, utility pole, parking sign, or similar structure stands directly opposite the main entrance of a shop, this is traditionally known as “Facing Hall Sha” (Dui Tang Sha), also referred to as “Piercing Heart Sha” (Chuan Xin Sha).

“Piercing Heart Sha” is traditionally believed to cause financial loss and may invite disputes, conflicts, and painful separations. People working in a shop affected by this configuration are also traditionally believed to be more susceptible to health problems, particularly those involving the heart and abdomen.

If this configuration coincides with unfavorable annual influences, such as Annual Sha, Three Sha, or Tai Sui, the traditional interpretation considers the consequences to be even more serious. Therefore, it is generally recommended to avoid choosing a shop with this type of layout.
